Why would you want to fuck everyone over just to then have yours alongside a rotten society of sameness populated by identical assholes? Genuinely seems worse than dying. Why are you guys all so afraid of that anyways. I’ve had a lot of time to think about it — corruption is not the sole provenance of Red Tribe — but moving it out in the open is an escalation so it feels more urgent to discuss

It’s cyclical Ironically this is what they mean by “hard times create strong people” The moral bedrock shows up only when there is sufficient erosion It’s not a fun role to play, but it’s the most important once in this part of the cycle. And the parents that inculcated this morality ought to be proud
