My entire NYC apartment is still in Michigan 

In Texas I just have a bed/bedframe, a folding table, and a disposable dresser with those canvas drawers

Don’t want to move my stuff down 😬 

So when I was home I went through some of it — looked through my knitting stuff too 

Found a hat I started so I grabbed it and finished it 

I made up the pattern myself 

Can fold brim over or wear it flipped down 

I think why I let it linger is because the yarn has a metallic strand in it, looks kinda cool but is horrific to work with. Finishing was kinda miserable 😂

It perfect for this TX cold snap

I think one thing that’s changed for me is that I will spend now on good materials — good fiber — all my old knitting was plastic yarn, at best a plastic/natural blend. And now I want the real wool or cotton. But it’s very very spendy.

🥺 hats are really easy and fun to make! I don’t really know what drove me to start this one, but happy to have finished 😂

It has a lot of character! My cold Minnesota ears would be glad to have a hat such as this keep them warm.
