Crypto afaik uses a revolutionary posture to take all the worst parts of the incumbent culture and KEEP those while being worse in every other way and hoping you don’t notice because you’re distracted by ideals no one lives up to 

Ie why is Coinbase so shitty at providing reasonable customer support while allowing company insiders to snipe every single new token listing of the year? 

Sure tradfi insider trades too but at least they give me a fucking person on the phone when I have a problem with my scraps

These are the stories ALWAYS trotted out to justify the massive mountain of trash this industry is responsible for otherwise

While not wrong, crypto hides a ton of subpar trashy shit behind the moral gloss of financial access
