tell me more... I don't have a kindle and have never used one of these. is there a reason ergonomically vs style? curious for the kids as they continue to adopt tech

To me it’s just so much nicer if you are reading laying down Can put it between your fingers and it’s way more comfortable Similar principle to these hand straps if pop socket not your bag lol

makes perfect sense - will put these on the good idea list for when and if they go in that direction. we'll see they definitely read a bit via screens these days, and trying to find the right balance, since so much homework is screen based too

Kindle to its credit has nothing but books. No apps, no browser, no nothing except your files. To the point I was almost startled to hear you call it a screen 😂 No blue light either

oh that's great on the blue light, didn't realize that. we are blessed with great libraries and so at this stage the kids can get as many books at they could possibly read, our most eager will read at least a few books a week on top of school work, and then they get gift cards to the bookstores around the holidays and birthdays as well. I've never read off a screen, just old fashioned books, yet I'm not reading on the go.

I love that!! I was a huge library kid too. I know a lot of kids like that it makes me happy As an adult I dropped the habit in favor of 🤫 torrenting a lot of books (I do buy as well). I have had friends share with me veritable Libraries of Alexandria’s of epubs. It has been very good for my itinerant lifestyle and fast reading speed but am sad sometimes I don’t have a giant real deal library
