yesterday I created an mvp mini app for @trendcoins to enter base builder quest 4 trendcoins.replit.app trendcoins takes trending google searches and automatically โ coins them โ casts them โ puts them into a dedicated miniapp where you can check out the actual news and trending search behind the coin trendcoins itself is a somewhat satirical an art project โ i don't think it will be the source of the next 1000x memecoin โ but i think automated content pipelines like this are very useful to creators take one thing โ a trending google search, a podcast episode, a video, a blog post โ and instantly create supporting materials for it like social posts and coins i want to keep exploring in this direction and want to encourage others too as well, so the entire trendcoins repl has been made public https://replit.com/@katherinechampa/Trendcoins?v=1#README.md feel free to ask me any questions at all about it if you want to make your own miniapp and autocoiner ๐ซถ

Very cool! I think tokenized trends or attention coins will be one of the next great new asset types in crypto.

this thesis is exactly what I wanted to play with here ๐ one thing that limits the ability to automate trends is simply the data sources this would be cooler with social trends but not a lot of great options for data I want to do an iteration with one of the bootleg TikTok APIs need Farcaster to hit pmf so I can use their open data ๐

Iโve always thought X trends best captured mindshare for crypto/tech users that are likely to be the early adopters. TikTok might even be better to your point. There are some ways to get X trends via Apify/scraping partner sites. Reclaim can be used to get some of it too and bonus points for being zkTLS verified. Kaito/noise.xyz are exploring this design space as well as a few others. Anchoring trends/attention/current narratives to actual data turns cultural capital into a monetizable asset. Very cool emerging space.
