When I was out of the office last week my coworkers wife tried to come work there. She had to leave because it was too cold. I saw her today and she detailed to me all the strategies she tried to keep warm before giving up and my eyes widened in recognition as she listed off everything I do every day to not freeze. My vindication was complete and total, however I l am outnumbered by men who love working in an icebox and so still lose

It's not just you; I have friends who have had to fight to get the thermostat not set to a point of freezing out femme folks in the office. It's a fight that you have to pick via HR, and need an HR department that's willing to listen, but it can be changed (in the right workplaces).

That sucks - isn’t it super hot in Austin? Like are they air conditioning it to a crazy level? This is such a ridiculous suggestion (because they should just NOT make it that cold), but is a space heater an option?

Story of my life (in winter) my husband and kids like the cold so I always need to wear 50 layers to stay warm. I tell my husband often that our car seat warmers saved our marriage. He likes to drive with the windows open in winter 🙄
