Remember this when you look up to these people. When you take their advice. What motives are really driving them? Do they truly understand what is Good?

feel the same way about AI engineers with blue skies+green fields and few financial constraints who:

- make it easier to steal artists' work
- make it easier to reduce writers' jobs
- eliminate call center work in English speaking countries in the global South

yes, and

- harm the earning ability of coddled programmer knowledge workers

I also think about all the gigabrains who continue working at his companies.

We tend to over estimate the general wisdom of nerds with specific domain expertise. Halo effect.
