to all of my pro-democracy friends here: we need to realize that the majority of people, especially those in tech, currently prefer technocracy over democracy. they actively want autocrats to tell them what to do and how to live because they think it’s easier to get to their superficial goals that way. 

it’s unlikely you’re going to change their mind until it blows up in their face. stay strong; stay in control where you can; keep those technocrats as friends where possible. ride the rapids and stay alive - the time of democracy will come again. 

people just have to learn the hard way sometimes.

if you need to issue sweeping "they" generalizations, you haven't spent enough days in introspection. that theory of mind is nonsense.

you're talking smack about what others build, instead of being a self-reliant patriot.

third of all

you live in a constitutional republic, not a pure democracy. instead of overreaching entitlement, focus on local reform.
