to all of my pro-democracy friends here: we need to realize that the majority of people, especially those in tech, currently prefer technocracy over democracy. they actively want autocrats to tell them what to do and how to live because they think it’s easier to get to their superficial goals that way. 

it’s unlikely you’re going to change their mind until it blows up in their face. stay strong; stay in control where you can; keep those technocrats as friends where possible. ride the rapids and stay alive - the time of democracy will come again. 

people just have to learn the hard way sometimes.

There is a not a single place in the world we’re Democracy exists, nor has it for about 15 years. 

America is in a plutocracy morphing into an Anarcho-Tyranny state. 

Yesterday was a fork in that road but we are still well within a plutocracy and that won’t change until Citizen’s United and the Patriot Act is abolished.
