Quests made web3 grow. But they got a bad name. But that doesn't have to be the case. I'm excited for AMA008 this Friday with @apurvkaushal, founder of Intract. Apurv is helping web3 companies distribute incentives intelligently via a data & identity network of 500k monthly active users. Curious about how to do quests, airdrops and incentives right? q1: What do you mean with "doing airdrops right"? Where did we go wrong?

Airdrops were originally meant to identify & reward long term contributors of a community. However, in the last couple of years, communities have started leveraging it to boost vanity metrics + drive superficial contributions. Users on the other hand have started to game it with sybil attacks for e.g., purely with the purpose of short term gains. So basically airdrop became a means to drive hype without considering long term implications of the same. A lot needs to be thought about wrt airdrops - how long to drive pre token buzz, who to reward, who not to reward, what contributions to reward with, what should the rewards look like, do you even have PMF before doing the airdrop. Its essentially a challenge of intelligent incentive distribution.
