sometimes when I’m speaking German, I find that words will come out of my mouth and I don’t even know consciously what they mean so I’ll look them up later in a panic (“was that even a real word?”) it’s like briefly being possessed by a German-speaking ghost

sometimes I think in the style of the book I'm reading. Hits you hard when you are reading something that's written in old-German
