Because of the default browser setting, Apple is dropping the native support for web apps. They will just be bookmark to be opened in the default browser. So you lose push notifications and everything that requires high privileges background tasks.

Very sad that we take a step back from mainstream adoption for PWAs... The only real thing that blocked it was Apple with push notifications, and as soon as they implemented it, they are gonna remove it again.. really frustrating
