3yo does not seem to be anywhere close to understanding that if she spends time on some things that there will be less time for other things.

I know I know a lot of adults struggle with this ha ha but seriously: any tips? Or experience with when this comes online?

Agree to early to understand time. I mean adults don't get it. Does it even exist?

Also: Try lego. Give her 10 lego pieces she can exchange for certain activities. Some stuff (longer activity) will costs more lego pieces. If she has no more lego pieces, it's time to sit on the couch and watch paint dry.
