happy international women’s day it’s freaking hard to be a woman in this space. so for today, i’d like to highlight something i’ve heard a lot in web3 and tech in general men love to tell me about their female idols. but when i ask them why they look up to these women, they only list things that are typically seen as masculine qualities: > they can hang/keep up with the boys > they never show emotion or “weakness” > they never “make a big deal” about things/are not high maintenance > they never talk about the difficulties women face, they just keep going and never complain i’d love to see women being celebrated more for being the people they are, not the masculine qualities they possess ladies, would love to see you drop a line on your favourite thing about yourself that makes you feel like you ❤️🔥 *we all hold masculine and feminine traits within ourselves, but i think we need to celebrate softness and emotion much more often

I love that I’m ok with saying “I don’t know” I love that I can context switch and hold 5 calendars in my mind 🤪

people who are comfortable saying i don't know (in my experience) have been some of the smartest, most open minded folks i've met 💖 i just saw a reddit thread that asked people something like "what's a sign of an intelligent person?" and a lot of people answered with being able to context switch, especially socially!
