Each time I've tried to create value for the farcaster network it's made me want to lean out. Incentives for builders feel broken - some sort of ability to participate in ownership in upsides would change my incentives and make me lean in. Why do only VCs get to participate in the upside of us participating here? I'm not the only one that feels this way

I think the problem is focusing on Warpcast, expecting to have the ownership that Farcaster enables. Until we stop building on Warpcast, builders will always be building for the VC's. They own Warpcast. We need that inflection point where Farcaster native experiences start overshadowing Warpcast, and the value trickles down to the VC's.

Is Warpcast data not completely distributed on farcaster? Is this creating a moat?

actually, funnily enough the biggest thing that is warpcast only is DMs, which is where everything has been migrating due to the lack of useful development in channels... I think that's symptomatic, not by design, however.
