I hear you but I think acting on aggression can be a good thing if it is done with the right intention. Calling someone a tech bro shows that they‘re disrespecting. So do what then? Block? Mute? Or be equally disrespectful back? I don‘t see how you can turn the other cheek there

ya it’s a case by case. I usually simply point out the ad hominem and let anyone with more than 2 brain cells connect the dots

True, if the troll isn‘t spreading misinformation about you too then that‘s an option. But more often they now connect disrespect with ad hominem attacks and then it‘s very tricky. Gladly not the case in the above situation
