As a serial dabbler, I tend to focus on the fact that I gave up on so many things. But as @camilla said, every activity we spend time on gives us skills and experience that enrich our life. It's true, some activities go away, but they made us happy. For me it's playing in fluete, I have no time for this now, but it was pretty good)
