Total net income is a bit of a misleading indicator though. What really matters to KSA is whether the barrel price exceeds the breakeven price needed to sustain the welfare / providence state and the social peace that comes with it. Last year the IMF estimated the fiscal breakeven price to be $95. Barrel price is $65 today. So KSA is running on borrowed time. For now KSA has a pretty low debt-to-GDP ratio so they can get away with running a fiscal deficit for a while longer
