Does anybody has a thesis on why smart contract wallet like Argent hasn’t taken off? If account abstraction is the barrier (dApps previously need a lot of work to integrate with these wallet), then zkSync/Starknet’s default account abstraction might be the inflection point.

No killer use case yet for general smart contract wallets. I think winners in this space will be smart contract wallet infra that provides 1) unified view of assets across dApps to users, and 2) enables dApps to customize their wallet UX

I am recently pondering on 2, or even further. Why can’t wallet be built like legos? For now wallets are very Web 2.0. One can build a product driven protocol (like FC). Then everyone else can build on top of the wallet protocol. People can build plug-in or protocols on top.

For me not having to remember my seed phrase is already the killer use case. I use Argent all day, but the main issue is most dApps don’t support SC wallet yet (e.g. Mirror). But agree with your points on winners.
