I drove up north to go swim in a lake for a day, meditate first thing in the am, go for a 45min walk, see friends and hit the gymmmm

I've been hitting the gym/running every day for 2 weeks, that def helps Tried to meditate in the past but I can't stick with it for some reason

I think that’s part of getting into meditation tbh. We have an element of our thinking mind that is constantly going, constantly trying to solve problems. Meditation helps us learn to not let the problem solver run the show 100% of the time, but it will do its best to take over. For the first few days/potentially weeks, it can be a challenge, but you’ll hit a point where it starts to become easier, and that’s where the true burnout recovery benefits start to kick in. My recommendation is to do it first thing in the morning, prior to ANY outside stimulation (phone, conversations, media, etc) I also have more suggestions on how to get going with /mindfulness on this page, including a free guest pass to the waking up app, which is where I’ve found the most success with meditation learning Hope it helps! I find it easier first thing in the am when your brainwaves are still close to sleep mode :) have you tried hemi-sync? Thats the easiest for me
