Depends on your time horizon. 

There’s about ~1.4 billion unbanked people globally. The debit card offers an interface with the rest of society, today. 

I was perfectly banked but wanted to live onchain. I’ve been using Coinbase’s debit card as my primary card since 2021 and was able to ditch my trad bank bc of it. I can’t say enough great things about it. But when I first signed up I would’ve thought SURELY by 2024 we’d have better USDC adoption. I didn’t think I’d still need the card today, yet I do. And I love the rewards. And as more cards become available to me I’ll sign up for them too. 

50 years from now I don’t think they’ll exist. 10 years? Absolutely.
