i use it. (i also made it.) data stays local on device and texts servers aren't used for sending or receiving messages. i find it useful to go through my unreads across all platforms. won't say i don't use native apps anymore but it's our goal to make that happen

you can think of @texts as a web browser -- data and auth creds stay on your device, our servers aren't involved.

some hackers did inspect the app's traffic and verify the claims. this is something you (and any user) can confirm as well using an app like little snitch: https://www.obdev.at/products/littlesnitch/index.html

yep it works just like the official clients do. the texts client connects to the platform servers directly.
