So Automattic is buying Texts. I still don't understand how Texts can be safe. Are you not just giving them your AppleID, Signal, Fb, Whatsapp, etc passwords, given that those platforms don't support delegated login? https://www.theverge.com/2023/10/24/23928685/automattic-texts-acquisition-universal-messaging

you can think of @texts as a web browser -- data and auth creds stay on your device, our servers aren't involved.
