One of the major questions of our time: why do so many people choose to do jobs that they clearly don't enjoy? I'm not talking abt circumstances where they don't have a choice. I mean otherwise affluent people w no meaningful risk of losing food or shelter who show up everyday to do something they hate. What's up?

Golden handcuffs to the lifestyle! I feel that the stuff people enjoy doing comes at great sacrifice - lower salary, less status etc. and many people are not willing to make that sacrifice.

The funny part is once you taste that freedom with all its downsides, it still feeeeeels right. You learn that quickly. for me it was h1b. I don’t want a job. I’m happy creating them. Jobs are zero sum games. Building companies isn’t.
