JRI: Just Read It

here's how it went from my perspective:
> shadi worms her way into my feed
> starts encouraging me (softly, but persistently) to get hyped
> keeps trying to get me hyped (I don't lol)
> finally shares the website; as promised, I read it
> ask Shadi to remove Degen iconography (hats everywhere)
> she seems weirdly desperate for my approval and for DEGEN's participation; I decline, pending an actual product and not just some ponzu with extra steps
> she removes Degen logo (mostly) from website
> I promise to revisit JRI once they have a... product... and not just a dubious financing mechanism.
> fast forward a couple of weeks, the project is doing well ostensibly (ie, the token price is up only for /reasons/)
> shadi circles back around to me for an "investment of 10k"
> I decline, again. Something is... off. Either they're incompetent or...
> they rug

Are there really a lot of scammers here?
I'm a newbie in here, there are so many things to watch out for that I'm worried.

No worse than anywhere else. People just want to get rich quick (good for them) which makes them susceptible to other kinds of predators (food for them).
