A pretty gross pattern from Google Photos: they block access to your media on their platform until you’ve given them complete access to your entire camera roll. I had an Android for many years before switching to iPhone and stored my media in Google photos. They are now holding those photos hostage. Ugh.

I was using their professional platform and let it lapse after a while because I wasn't using it for one of my start ups and then blocked everything until I renewed. Wouldn't even let me pull my files. So I had to sign up for one month just to access everything and then leave. Constant reminder that we can't have 7 companies own the digital world, people just how must we are being productized each day. They/We need an alternative.
