Started with the first, so let's do the last (most recent). This is Eloise, she's the youngest, she's a maltese lhasa mix, we got her after one of our most cherished dogs Marley passed away last year. They say you're not supposed to get a dog immediately after losing one, but we decided we could be sad or we could be sad with a really cute puppy. 😂 Suffice to say she has been an absolute joy. Marley was the ultimate lap dog, which Eloise is not, but she is pure love and affection. Not an aggressive bone in her body. While she ofc loves dirt, which turns her into a mop of mud whenever she goes in the yard (the record is 4 baths in one day) she's worth every bit of effort. Awww. Eloise is a cutie! And I know exactly how you felt about getting another pup right after losing one. My pom Leila was a similar story for us. We had lost our golden retriever Tilde very suddenly and our other dog Sadie, who, with the right hairdo looks a lot like Eloise, was so sad and did not like being the "only dog" so we got Leila pretty quick to make all of us feel better. Sadie is not a lap dog, but she's my velcro dog. She has to be no more than 3 feet away from me at all times or she's pretty upset. And if I'm sitting down, she has to be touching me, but at least she doesn't insist on being in my lap. The velcro is the poodle in her but not being in my lap is the shihtzu (they like to love from a distance!).

Ha ha, we are so clearly kindred animal spirts. Yeah, I have one of those too. Attached, but from a far, which honestly is great sometimes. Having to hold a dog all of the time can be tedious, but you bond so tightly, its hard to lose either (any) type of dog.

Absolutely! They all show their love and companionship in different ways and I appreciate that about them! And it’s hard to lose them because they are unconditional loving family members. 💙
