Since today's meta is sharing Farcaster invite stories, here's some tough love for consumer founders: you're probably not schlepping enough.

If you strategy to get more users is to open your code editor, you're avoiding the actual hard thing of talking to users and then having them silently reject you after a few days.

The first version of our Farcaster app didn't work on mobile and didn't have follows, at replies, native image uploads, etc.

Go talk to potential users. A lot.

i never got a twitter DM, there is no nostalgic "wanna check this out?" back-and-forth email and there was no 15 min onboarding call

i was in EVERYONE'S replies (granted, there weren't a lot of people) asking earnest questions, sharing alternate perspectives, maybe making a joke here and there

that's how you build a social network, regardless of platform

I totally appreciate that ted, seen your movement through the community and the roles you found/placed/asked yourself in and its inspiring. I'm certainly not the only one that feels that way.
