Don’t think it’s that binary. It comes down to intent. If you do good to show off then it’s fake. But if you want to publicise it to make others aware that there is an avenue for them to contribute if they wanted to, that’s not wrong. If I planted 100 trees, I would share with friends and family. Could make

Contribution to things that seems good is virtual signaling and is (not always) but generally useless when it comes to actual good Any publicized doing of good ends up more about the publicity than the actually good. Thus it ends up doing more harm while making ppl think they did good Just my philosophy / take
