I understand the sentiment, but we are humans and not robots. We want to make the world better, we also want love and appreciation. Why be so judging? If you are a net positive towards the world I would like, that's enough for me.

Don’t think it’s that binary. It comes down to intent. If you do good to show off then it’s fake. But if you want to publicise it to make others aware that there is an avenue for them to contribute if they wanted to, that’s not wrong. If I planted 100 trees, I would share with friends and family.
