There’s three parts to this that I’d find interesting 1. What would I never read? What am I dismissing without even looking at the cover? 2. Why am I dismissing it? What part of me is rejecting it? 3. Why am I rejecting it?

I highly recommend The Year I Turned Sixteen by Diane Schwemm. It is a long four parter. It is emotional and a good portrayal of things from the perspectives of different members of a family while seeing what happens to the family longitudinally. It is one of my favorites and I read it once every few years. Would be happy to lend it to you this summer if you are interested.
