I'm always at an impasse about this, I liked this band but their lead singer was a convicted pedophile, I deleted all their songs from my playlist, I can't hear them and not think about the pedophile

I agree - for example I think about Picasso leading multiple women to suicide, but it’s hard for me not to appreciate his work

Picasso is an excellent example of having to separate the art from the artist. He was such a cruel and horrible human being, but such a good artist. I think it’s also easier to separate the art from the artist when they’re deceased, but much harder while they’re still alive.
