Right Before Covid, I went to the island where Komodo Dragons are from (Komodo Island, which is the only island where they exist natively), in East Nusa Tenggara near Labuan Bajo in Indo. I asked them, what happens if you get bit by a Komodo Dragon, and the guy there said you do your best, and go to the hospital and hope you don't get a gnarly infection while your blood coagulates (you have like 30 minutes) and then he picks up his 8 foot long stick and pushed a nearby Komodo Dragon away, casually

Backpacked there a while back. So many hostile critters on that island. Rats, snakes, spiders, dragons…
