Saw this recently, @simonapop reminded me of this. I like to think of /therapy as helping you build more mental muscle and training patterns in the same way that physical trainers help you learn how to work out and become better:

Love this. Being able to be *in* each moment and creating from the present vs the past is genuinely this life’s work

I think this is linked to this that I was discussing about how AI is treating humans and how we will be loosing the ability as humans to learn how to cope with failure when AIs are too polite, that they never ever will acknowledge or tell you that you have done something wrong.

This reminds me of a boxing match I saw last month.Naoya Inoue. He went down in the first round, but held his own and never lost heart, and as a result won. I felt it was very important to have a muscle of the mind.

I believe perfection is an illusion made bybpeople in order to feed our goals. Nothing is perfect ,yet everything is beautiful.

Its a beautiful reading. First of all because I was a huge fan of Roger, and second because through his words you can feel the humanity of the man before the athlete. The mindset build as a muscle is important but the man who can leave a loss behind is back is truly special. I remember an interview of Paolo Maldini in which he was defined one of the most winning sportsmen in the history of football and he immediately pointed out the fact that he’s probably, at the same time, the greatest looser too. From every lost could born a new win. Precious.

Building mental strength through therapy is like training with a fitness coach: navigating waves of discomfort to grow.
