I have a book that I received as a gift almost a decade ago This book changed my life. I’m not going to disclose what book it is - mainly because it doesn’t really matter — what matters is meeting a book that you feel so strongly about that one would keep thinking about it over and over. Thats what matters to me

Imo - these books that change your life and the way you think - they are different for everyone. what resonates with you is completely different from, and from everyone else - I think it’s not objectively some book - but the process of finding these, hidden and waiting for you

I’ve had this experience once on the second read of a book in a different phase of life. Sometimes you manage to read what you need to hear. Bit of luck.

Fully agree. I have a book like that as well. Also always find it interesting when you know/have learned something from experience, and then find a phrase or sentence in a book that verbalizes that knowledge. Makes it stick better/be that much more effective.
