Congressman: Now Jim, people in my state keep asking why we're continuing to fund this program now that we've beaten the Russians to the moon. Jim Lovell: Imagine if Christopher Columbus had come back from the New World and no one returned in his footsteps.

Never seen you swear before July My earnest answer to this is that the collective psyche of the scientific community took a heavy blow with the creation of nuclear weapons and this was felt through an identity crisis that led to the loss of innovation in atoms but the acceleration of innovation in bits. Seems to me like we'll be ready to turn the page an innovate in atoms again the more we call for it to happen.

it’s an expensive trip for a couple of people to just jump around and plant flags.

One argument I've heard is moon dust, but I'm sure the real reason is multiple compounded issues https://youtu.be/0k9wIsKKgqo?si=DVO7NhVIUYEmn1uY

Just curious, at what point do you concede we never went? 70 years? 100 years? The moon is 250k miles, the furthest we’ve gone since is 853.
