the waves. always an inspiration and a constant reminder for me to keep going. they break at the shoreline, sometimes abruptly, but still carry on connecting land and ocean. again, and again, and again, leaving their marks as they fade into the sand. and then, back they are on the horizon, like a new journey starting over. so much like how I hold on to the past and its marks, yet am looking forward to the future. hopeful and dreaming of love, but for calmer and less hurtful heartbreaks.
