Tako is a lifestyle community that advocates for “high tech, high life”. We believe in living well and staying healthy while building in a fast-moving tech world. So I usually like to ask: how do you personally stay healthy, both physically and mentally? You already mentioned some of your hobbies, DJing, Muay Thai, photography, which definitely seem like great ways to stay balanced. Is there anything else you'd like to share that helps you maintain your energy and clarity? And just for fun. Who’s the fittest person you’ve met in the @farcaster or @base community? Doesn’t have to be just physically fit, could also be someone who just radiates good energy and seems to be living a well-rounded life!

You’ve talked about surviving the bear market and staying focused on the long-term vision. When things feel slow, uncertain, or progress isn’t as visible, what do you personally, or as a team, do to stay motivated and grounded? Are there any core beliefs or convictions that give you confidence to keep building, even when the external momentum isn’t there?

Professional reputation and onchain identity have been attempted by many startups before, with several still actively building in this space incl. @talent . We often hear that success comes down to the right timing, a strong product, and a capable team. Beyond those three pillars, what other factors do you believe are critical for Talent Protocol (or onchain reputation projects in general) to succeed in the long run? I think one of the factors will be the adoption rate of onchain social. Do you feel we’re nearing the right moment for onchain social to gain broader adoption, or are we still in the early experimental phase? And what conditions, whether it's key technological breakthroughs, lower infrastructure costs, breakout use cases, or something else entirely, do you think need to be in place for this space to truly hit an inflection point?

@talent is focused on developers, which makes a lot of sense since developer contributions are relatively easy to verify through onchain activity or GitHub data. You've previously mentioned plans to expand into other categories, with creators being the next priority. I assume that’s partly because Base has a strong creator community, and creators often produce digital content that can also be tracked and verified. That said, how do you approach evaluating the quality of output, especially when it comes to things like smart contracts or creative work? It feels like ranking quality, beyond just activity, is a much more subjective challenge. Also, when you eventually expand into other professions like designers, marketers, or community managers, where contributions may be less visible or harder to tie directly to onchain data, what specific challenges do you anticipate, and how are you thinking about solving them?

As a reputation infrastructure provider, could you share some of the most compelling or impactful use cases you've observed so far? When building a protocol, there’s often a need to develop both the protocol-level infrastructure and the application-level ecosystem. Currently, are you placing a greater emphasis on enhancing the core infrastructure, such as expanding verified data sources and growing your verified user base, or are you also planning to actively incubate specific use cases to showcase the practical utility of reputation data? Or perhaps, will you pursue both strategies simultaneously? Beyond providing platforms with access to the Builder Score, what initiatives or strategies do you have in mind to encourage more applications and platforms to actively integrate and build upon Talent Protocol’s reputation infrastructure?

Talent Protocol is designed to be portable, allowing users full ownership and control over their data, and interoperable, meaning users can seamlessly access their reputation data across various infrastructures and identity platforms. Have I understood this correctly? Following up on this, could you share more about your strategy for expanding into additional ecosystems? Specifically, which ecosystems are you prioritizing for future integration, and at what pace do you plan to expand? When entering a new ecosystem, what specific metrics or types of PoW do you typically focus on verifying first? Beyond current efforts, what other initiatives or ideas do you have in mind to further enhance the portability and interoperability of Talent Protocol?

Talent Protocol aggregates data from GitHub, onchain activity, and other platforms to create your Builder Score. Given that you've recently launched Builder Score V2 in February, what key improvements have you made? Looking forward, will you focus more on building new features or expanding data sources? By the way, the current design appears quite robust against manipulation, as scores are grounded in verified identities and genuine proofs of work. Could you also share your insights on how the system maintains its resilience against attempts to game the scores?

The Builder Rewards program distributing 2 ETH weekly to top builders on Base is a brilliant initiative. How has the program performed so far? Has it met your expectations? Beyond the financial incentive, have you noticed any changes in builder behavior since launching - perhaps people becoming more public with their contributions or adjusting how they work? For participants, how competitive is it currently? We have many curious developers in our community as well.

I'd like to start with a question that could benefit both our experienced Base users already familiar with Talent Protocol and those newer members from universities or professionals exploring opportunities in the current market downturn. Could you share the inspiration behind Talent Protocol - what problem did you initially set out to solve? And for those just discovering your platform, what are the core features and unique value proposition that distinguish you from traditional professional networks and other Web3 reputation projects?

I'm thrilled to introduce our newest member and this week's featured founder: Felipe Macedo @macedo , co-founder and Chief Product Officer of @talent . Felipe brings a fascinating background to our community – trained as a computer engineer, he spent over a decade building digital-first brands for startups and major clients like Nike and L'Oréal. His journey includes creative success as a Young Lions Competition winner and experience that spans from DJing to street photography. This multifaceted background perfectly positions him to lead product development at Talent Protocol, where reputation is about far more than just a resume. Talent Protocol is revolutionizing how professional reputation works by bringing it onchain. Their platform creates verifiable professional identities through their Builder Score system, which evaluates real contributions rather than self-reported achievements. Most recently, they've launched "Builder Rewards" – a program distributing weekly ETH to the most impactful builders on Base, w...
