I’d pick a person that has demonstrated to optimize their own life (diet, sports, health practices, etc.) AND has a medical background any day over a well-known doc that regurgitates book theory. (Don’t know her or alternative picks. prob she’s Kennedy’s personal pick for whatever reason) — Ps: when I go to a doc these days they’ll assess my symptoms, tell me I have a common flu & potentially offer medication. If I ask for a blood test they’d assess the most basic things only (prob considering costs/insurance too) and give me tips worse than chatgpt. Meanwhile the best fitness/health gurus, influencers, biohackers try to get to the bottom of it, want to understand underlying issues and how to get rid of them. Obv some docs are great in their specialization & many influencers are one trick ponys who try to sell you a product - but the best ones have a broad understanding, a medical, bio background, curiosity for health & experimenting / coming up with comprehensive &or individual solutions.

Obv as surgeon general you also need some management / diplomacy capabilities but can’t judge that

As someone who has read her book and follows her (though I rarely see her content) she ticks pretty much all these boxes. People have villainized being an influencer or just plain old having influence. Not to say all who have influence are good or should but she's actually really smart and pretty on the money from all I've gathered
