I am against: Tinkering with blobs in order to try and extract more L1 fees out of rollups. I am for: Improving the blob fee market to make it more reactive to changes in demand and reduce the lagtime to price discovery. Let the blobs do their job of scaling Ethereum!

Where did this debate originate? Who was suggesting to change anything about the blobs now?

Ethereum is inflationary again. Because the fees l2’s are paying have dropped due to cheap blob storage. So one way to get eth back to being deflationary and burning more eth than it’s creating. Is to make l2s pay more again. ATM they get Ethereum security and pay close to 0 for it.

Nobody should care if it’s a little inflationary or deflationary today within an acceptable range - and Eth is certainly not hyper inflationary anymore. Stay cheap, get users.
