Nice. When I was working the machine I mostly had swiss water decafs and the pours always looked and flowed different. Less movement. More contrast. Smaller color range in crema. Haven’t tried De Mello, but in the past I’ve found the non swiss water decafs better. Never found out if that was chance or cause.

agreed, they behave quite differently. grind setting is different, flow is different, and they look different in storage vs. same weight in other caffeinated beans. I’ve tried swiss water decaf from Parallel and to be honest it’s kinda gnarly. over-roasted and a bit smokey, muddy overall. but that might be more to do with the roast, not the process. this decaf from De Mello is my fav by a long shot. it’s definitely more towards medium than light roast, but really tasty with a certain sweetness that I don’t usually find in decaf.
