There's a lot of "im pivoting to ai" folks with crypto dna now. Maybe some were opportunists, however you define that, but many "i'm bullish crypto but too early; too much grift" types too. We may see some real clean crypto use cases in the coming years from alumni. One space I'm watching is open source funding.

I did it professionally for a year after my crypto job closed, trying to chase Current Thing. It was fun but I realized crypto is my passion so I'm trying to go back.

😂 then there is me. I was a Research scientist for a few years, then Director in DS/AI. I’ve published papers on NLP in medicine, maths, and built various AI level algorithms for startups. I am more interested in crypto/blockchain. The other way. I’m looking at the interaction between AI/Robotics/blockchain now.

Crypto normalizing grifting to such an extent is definitely driving people out. It’s hard to build genuinely for a space while watching others ruining its reputation with endless CAs and rugs.
