Increasingly, I don’t think web3 is the next iteration of the web that will replace web2, but rather a fork that will run in parallel.

Not a strong opinion yet but something I can’t shake. 

Also not sure how I feel about it if true.

Web 2.0 (a wave of new technologies e.g. AJAX, UGC, social media) didn’t replace the web, it expanded it and made the internet more useful and accessible. 

I think web3 will similarly make the internet more useful and accessible, giving users greater control of their digital identity, media, and networks.
