Any recommendations for a simple but effective warmup/stretch for barbell squats? Trying to target hip soreness/tightness.

Yeah man, the ATG Split Squat is where it’s at. Does a great job at activating the glutes and hammies while getting a real nice stretch around both the knee joint and (my favorite) the hip flexors. I just do it with no weight and assisted (i.e. with something to hold onto for balance)
