i'm trying to build an onchain payment solution for offline merchants tried something new this morning: went for a walk around /lisbon and visited a bunch of cafès for short interviews turns out i didn't find any owner in place, so ended up getting emails or instagram handles to reach out about my market research so i decided to change strategy: i'm back home now after lunch and will start to scrape cafès emails with some tools and send a bunch of cold emails let's see what happens next

farmers markets or artisans on the street can be a big window for this they are more “informal”, and suffer bigger because of the fees that traditional payment solutions offer them

good point, they're for sure more informal, but how many of them cards or mobile payments? in my experience most of them get only cash i'm targeting cafès first because 100% of them accept multiple payment options and i believe there's already a crypto audience for those, specially in lisbon
