do you want to read to the newborn or do you want to read about how to deal with the transformation that a newborn brings?

Settling in I guess. Mom is recovering - been a tough few days for her. 

Reading to the newborn. They won’t understand any, but thinking it will help soothe them if I read something in animated rhythmic voices.
