This week in building /quilibrium Trying something new in updates summarizing on impacts: (On protocol) Dynamic fee markets – solving for the emission curve attack concern: The first version of the embedded dynamic fee market with the adjusted cost basis (includes proof size as a factor) is being tested out. (On and off protocol) Things other teams can use in their own projects: Publishing async triple ratchet later tonight under the separate MIT licensed repo mirror.

triple ratchet = let groups communicate with the same efficiency as signal direct messages sync = requires periodic refresh across the whole group, higher level of malicious security (when performing compute over it) async = when lower level of malicious security is fine (a group, people trust each other), no periodic refresh, constantly updating, better for group chats

are we moving into a future where group chats are going to play a key role in the unfolding of it?

always has been group chats have relied on central coordinators even when encrypted, which is dangerous because this reveals metadata in the best case scenario, or the whole conversation in the worst "metadata kills people" https://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2014/05/ex-nsa-chief-we-kill-people-based-on-metadata
