the bottom line reason is that it makes my ego feel proud of myself but no, i don't need any of this if only i could focus enough. but since im a mess that is full of entropy, i just roll from the current state of things into the next one without being brave enough to trim everything that is not needed really (probably most of it lol)

๐ซ over the years i have built up an internal alerting system that goes off anytime i'm thinking about adding complexity into my life (even with simple things like buying a toaster), because i have a fear of becoming overwhelmed like thatโฆ so sort of understand what you mean ๐

thatโs awesome. actually sharing this image made me realize that this setup is limiting my potential. I have all these as assets and im not using them properly. and simplicity is very, very important what has helped you live by that practically? was there a turning point?

i don't know, i think it has mostly to do with people around me kind of being "hoarders"โnot throwing anything away, because "it might come in handy".

i can't stop thinking that one of my core goals for this year is to reduce all this clutter into only one computer and a dev setup that allows me to fly without noise
