Gm /success fam. I haven't been very active on here lately. Life is a little chaotic right now, 2 months before I pack up in Australia and move overseas with my family for a while. I am still here and looking at what is going on, but I'm not very active. The little time I have I will be in the discord server providing airdrop news and projects for you all to take advantage of. Feel free to ask any questions about my posts there. Stay successful.

cc @qsteak.eth what are the biggest lessons that you have learnt by going through this yourself with your family?

Not sure what the housing situation is AU is but it was more challenging than I expected to get into a rental property. Try to find an Air BnB with extended stay, or shoot the host a message and ask for a discounted rate for a longer duration. Our host were gracious enough to let us tack on an extra couple weeks. Your shipping container will take forever and they will likely add another week of inspections once it arrives. Bring everything you like from home because you probably won鈥檛 find an exact replacement. I really miss all my kitchen gadgets. I鈥檓 in a much smaller country, so this may not be as big an issue in AU. Setup a google voice or other voip BEFORE you leave and transfer all your accounts to that. 2FA is great until you鈥檙e in a different country. The bank took 10 days after application to get an account. Not like the US where you can walk into a branch and apply. If you are sending a container, shipping a box right as you leave get you some stuff in about a week. Can be handy. Good luck

It has definitely been more drawn out than I expected. We get so used to instant gratification and having Amazon ship everything next day that you forget the rest of the world is not so consumer driven. So it鈥檚 been a trade off between that and a lower stress environment. I would do it again, so far. I figure it鈥檒l take a bit to really know. But despite the effort I walk out in the morning and take a deep breath of fresh clean air surrounded by nature (even in town like we are) and feel like a weight is lifted. I have the opportunity to raise my kids in the oft storied tales of letting kids grow up outside and developing independence for themselves. I could not see letting my kid walk to school without me in the US, or being nervous in a crowd. Those are starting to go away.

ahhhh man this one felt much more refreshing haha. like the first cast you shared was the weight... and on this one there was space and breath and that weight was melted into the experience of what it actually means to have made this decision because you believed it was the best for you and your family... and it is proving to be exactly that. im glad man. share some pictures. would love to see your favorite places in there so far

There are some pretty incredible places. On top of the mountain just a 13 min car ride away. View looking off the hang gliding deck. Can鈥檛 wait to give that a go.
