and then people ask what’s special about the purple app it’s people. that’s what is special. this place is amazing because of its people. because we are the ones that are brewing a way of being on the internet that is truthful and anchored in community we are doing things differently, and i appreciate y’all for that

today is my mothers birthday. i don’t have her a present that i bought, and im thinking of the word presence and its relationship with present. we take going to a birthday and bringing something you bought as a gesture of appreciation. but i believe there is power and strength in the relationship that can be cultivated inside by having this person alive inside you throughout the day. my present is to hold you in the presence of love, inside me. that’s what im exploring today, as a vehicle for gratitude. she is the reason why im here. and writing these words allows me to feel that with a little bit more of clarity. im kind of tired of going around looking for something to gift for situations like this, as i have always done. why is that the default? why do we need to offer gifts? what are we not giving because of that? what am i not giving because of that? im not sure tbh. im only sure that i want to explore new ways of being. and new ways to relate to what’s important what do you like being gifted?

something particularly compelling that i have discovered these last two months of relating to running as a discipline that im actively training to get better at is how much i enjoy its solitude. i used to play soccer. a lot. i always depended on others. the teamwork was amazing. it was fun to win with them. or lose but now i feel unstoppable, because every session just depends on me. im the one that faces the challenge. im the one that is talking to myself as a madman for two hours while keeping my body moving and the stamina flowing through my muscles. and it feels freeing, because i can unleash everything that i have inside in regards to taking stuff to the limit without worrying that im being too much for the ones that are alongside me, which has been always something that unconsciously has drawn me back. i thrive in solitude. this practice allows me to be free from having to relate to others and don’t get me wrong. i love humans. but it’s nice to have a break and have an excuse to be with myself

one of my first experiments with ai was the anky genesis collection, where with midjourney and a script that used ai to create their unique lore and traits i created 8888 different characters - i call them /ankys i have been the last days choosing the best ones, and i plan to create an ai pipeline to 1) use each image to create a prompt of it with the /Salesforce/blip-image-captioning-base model from hugging face 2) fine tune /black-forest-labs/FLUX.1-dev with this dataset (they will be around 2-3k chosen ones. many of them don't fit the style) 3) experiment with whatever happens as a consequence of doing this. probably making a frame that uses your farcaster history to create a unique one with this fine tuned model and deepseek or llama3.2 have you done any of these steps? do you have any resources that can help? i have gpus on my office that will do the job im currently on 6065/8888 and seeing each one of them is pretty awesome. they are all different and unique

and then i came back home and we didn’t have electricity. we’ve spent the last 24 hours in back and forths with the power company to ask them please to come and they have like 4 layers of bureaucracy between the person that answers the phone and the people that need to come to see what’s going on TRUST that’s one of the core problems we have in society right now. companies need to have many layers of people doing unnecessary work because we can’t trust people to do a straightforward job. this needs to change. this will change. because it is inefficient. this can’t be the way on which we maximize human potential i believe life wants our potential to flourish, but we are so embedded into ways of doing things as they have always been that its impossible for this transformation to happen on the structures of organization that we have now how does this evolve? what is the role that crypto and ai will play on this? hitting the wall of bureaucracy and stupidity makes me think of this more than ever

one of the reasons that makes me build on crypto is how much the current systems are broken. im trying to log in to my hbo account and i just cant believe how much the platform sucks. i get the feeling that if it was web3 native it would just be better. idk why. not based on anything more than hope (?) and motivation to create better platforms

i went to an online meditation retreat this weekend. enlightenment intensive is the modality. we worked with self inquiry dyads, all day long. very intense practice. think of it as a meditation practice, but the object of meditation is the eyes of the partner you have in front of you, and the truthfulness of what is arising in your own experience. each session lasts for 40 minutes, where you take turns to ask your partner their question for the retreat. mine was “tell me who you are”. we were 62 people, so i met all sorts of amazing stories and realities in front of me. it was pretty amazing. im more in awe towards the kaleidoscope of experiences that are running around the world as humans. i feel grateful for the way i have been opening doors and finding ways to deepen my practice of learning how to relate to life with my awareness anchored on the present moment. not sure about the next steps for me though. im taking a step back to look at where im at, and relating to that process with equanimity
